Ted Cruz Busted For Liking Porn; Internet Goes Insane

Human Interest, News, Politics, Reproductive Rights

Texas Senator Ted Cruz had a rough night Monday on Twitter. The official account belonging to Ted Cruz “liked” a tweet made by @SexuallPosts. The post was for a short trailer-type video which was very sexually explicit. The entire account exists to disseminate pornographic material to people that might be interested in it.

Rumor has it that he alone controls his official Twitter account, so he really has no one to blame but himself. Newsweek opened their reporting on this:

The excuses are almost inevitable, and predictable: The account was hacked, possibly by those pesky Russians. Or some rogue intern got hold of the social media, a secret Democrat intent on sabotage. Whatever the case, it is all but certain that Ted Cruz, the conservative Republican who serves as the junior Senator from Texas, will deny having “liked” a pornographic clip on Twitter.

The Cruz people retracted the “like” as soon as it began to gather attention, but it was too late for the fast-moving cyber world. Many people made and posted screen-grabbed images so that the moment of impropriety will live forever on the internet. Sorry, Ted, but no one is passing this one up.

Responses and comments on Twitter were brutal.

Poor Ted? Nah, we’re not really feeling any pity for this one at the moment. He has been on a career-long crusade against anything sexual, from trying to ban masturbation and dildos to making it impossible for women to receive healthcare options for their girl parts. Nope, no pity here. Karma seems to be right on spot this morning.
