It can easily be said that Donald Trump would be better off if he just stopped talking. Or rather, at least his White House team would be.
“I want to thank him because we’re trying to cut down our payroll, and as far as I’m concerned, I’m very thankful that he let go of a large number of people because now we have a smaller payroll… There’s no real reason for them to go back. I greatly appreciate the fact that we’ve been able to cut our payroll of the United States. We’re going to save a lot of money.”
That’s right. Trump is not only “very thankful” to Putin, but he’s glad a number of Americans are out of work.
Well, needless to say, these comments from Trump were not well-received by anyone with half a brain here in the States, so the White House was forced to respond with a bunch of malarkey.
According to CBS White House correspondent Margaret Brennan:
“WH official says @POTUS was being sarcastic when he thanked Putin for expelling US officials from Russia.”

Oh, okay. Trump was just “being sarcastic.” So, should we assume everything Trump says is sarcasm? Should we assume his entire presidency is a joke? (well, actually, yeah) What kind of leader responds to the actions of a foreign adversary booting the United States out of their country with sarcasm?
The answer to that is, a terrible one if he is sarcastic, and a terrible one if he isn’t.
Trump has no place being President of the United States, and the faster he gets found guilty of an impeachable offense, the better.
