Donald Trump and his Press Secretary Sean Spicer have been attempting to keep the media in the dark these days. Monday, Spicer successfully did just that with a no audio and no camera press briefing.
During the briefing, Spicer banned any recording by reporters. It doesn’t make any sense at all! Normally, a press briefing is for reporters to have a visual and audio reference for their stories. Especially so Trump doesn’t have a reason to cry ‘Fake News’ any chance he gets. This is not the old days of journalism we need the visuals and the sound.
CNN host Jim Acosta was so over Spicer and his nonsense. He even referred to Spicer as ‘useless’ while speaking to his colleague Brooke Baldwin.
“So the White House press secretary is getting to a point, Brooke, where he’s just kind of useless.”
“You know, if he can’t come out and answer the questions and they’re just not going to do this on camera or audio, why are we even having these briefings or these gaggles in the first place?”
Acosta, who was standing in front of the White House, was just so upset that he was not going to able to ask questions and if he did they probably wouldn’t have been answered. The reporter was just so confused at how this could start to become the norm for The White House and the journalist.
“We’re standing at the White House and they bring us into the briefing room here at the White House and they won’t answer these questions on camera or let us record the audio.”
“I don’t know why everybody is going along with this. It just doesn’t make any sense to me.”
“And it just feels like we’re sort of slowly but surely being dragged into what is a new normal in this country where the president of the United States is allowed to insulate himself from answering hard questions.”
It just seems like the Trump and his regime are just trying to hide what their real agenda is. They don’t want their lies and incompetencies to be brought to light. Trump does not want the media to get the truth.
And sadly this is the news we have to cover along with the President’s Tweets. This I guess is the Great America Trump promised us. How much longer till impeachment. Let’s get someone who cares and is actually serious about getting this country to a great place. View the exchange below.
