When you’re the leader of a nation, your duty, first and foremost, is to the people you serve. You need to show undying loyalty. This most definitely goes for the President of the United States.
However, after the shooting in Alexandria, VA, during Republican Congressional baseball practice, Donald Trump is literally deciding not to show up.
Apparently, Trump won’t be showing up to the bipartisan baseball game, as per tradition, at Nationals Park in Washington DC.
ABC News tweeted out:
“NEW: Pres. Trump will not attend Congressional Baseball Game due to last-minute security requirements, White House official tells ABC.”

What the hell is that about?
If Trump were to show up in the first place there would have been all the required security he would need. Top of the line. It would have already been covered. If Trump was able to walk down the streets of DC on Inauguration Day or go golfing every weekend at his resorts, he most certainly can show up at a baseball game and be secure.
Why isn’t he showing up? Is this his decision? Is he a coward?
If he were a true leader he’d insist on going. However, he’s not. Him being there would send a message to all that he’s a leader that won’t be scared and he won’t bow down to violence and let it dictate what we do as a nation. It would be an extremely powerful statement. The nation needs him right now.
Maybe he’ll change his mind, but it’s not likely. He loves to talk tough, but when it comes down to actually being tough, that’s a whole different story.
