Last year in October, one bold person was so over Donald Trump before he even took office that he decided to deface the President’s Hollywood star. James Otis, an elevator heir, took an ax to the walk of fame star leaving it unrecognizable and he managed to skip jail time. Here we are 8 months later and the star is vandalized again, but this time with a message.
Today, according to the L.A. Times, tens of thousands of people took to the streets of Hollywood and West Hollywood in human rights march. It replaced the usual L.A. Pride parade and even had a hashtag to go with it, #ResistMarch. A spokesman for the march told Reuters,
“This was not the year for parades. This was the year to take to the streets and march,
They also left a message of ‘resist’ stickers regarding different matters on Trump’s star, a less aggressive approach than Otis’, but clear.
The stickers included “#I Resist Homophobia” and “#I Resist Racism”. Another highlighted the call for impeachment, “No! Drive Out Trump/Pence Fascist Regime.”

According to VOX.com, Trump hasn’t even recognized June as Pride month.
“Over at the White House, as far as the Trump administration is concerned, June isn’t Pride Month (although it is National Homeowners Month).”
Not surprising, another promise was broken by Trump, who pledged to protect the LGBTQ community. Kudos to them for not dwelling on it and continuing to press forward towards a better cause. #RESIST.
