There are people out there who like to fool others. Donald Trump is one of those people. Except, here’s the thing — he’s an obvious liar.
It might not be obvious to the easily fooled, so many of which voted for him. Folks who heard what they wanted to hear from a man who knew they wanted to hear it. However, for most people, Trump is an obvious liar and knows little of which he speaks.
In the commencement speech at Liberty “University” over this past weekend, Trump went on and on about how much God is inserted into our government. He also said:
“In America we don’t worship government, we worship God.”
Not only is what Trump saying incorrect and in violation of the United States Constitution, but how he is delivering his message is in direct contradiction to how Jesus wanted his message to be spread. In fact, in the Bible, Jesus warned his followers about people just like Trump.
In Matthew 7:15, Jesus said:
“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.”
Trump claims he’s the answer to all the problems and that he can relate to people and their strife — all of which are lies. He’s manipulating people for their votes and, in turn, is harming them with his efforts of deregulation and elimination of many things people will need.
Secondly, in Matthew 6:5, it states:
“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.”
And Matthew 6:7:
“And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.”
If that doesn’t sound like what Trump has been trying to do, I don’t know what does.
In addition, Trump goes on and on about the founding fathers and their use of the word “Creator” in some of the founding documents. Here’s the thing about many of the founders — they weren’t Christian, they were Deist. Using “Creator” and “Divine Providence” is Deist terminology. So, unless people like Trump and those who agree we should abide by the direct text of some of the founding documents, that would be not believing in the deification of Jesus — thus saying Jesus is not God.
Let’s also remember that the Constitution forbids Congress creating any laws based on religion, and the words “In God We Trust” weren’t printed on our currency until the 1950s.
All in all, Trump is full of sh*t when he speaks like this. Not only is it disrespectful to actual Christians who actually know and follow the Bible, but it is disrespectful to our founders and the founding documents.
When a moron gets in front of people who have been wildly misinformed about our country and even their own religion, this is what happens.
Shame on all of them.
