President-elect Donald Trump isn’t anywhere near finished making America the laughingstock of the entire world. Yesterday, Buzzfeed News released a report that claimed Russia might be blackmailing Trump with a sex tape involving prostitutes and urination. And if that weren’t embarrassing enough for the country, Trump’s defense is even worse.
Trump spent the morning trying to deny the sex tape allegations on Twitter, failing miserably of course. And he only managed to make things worse during a press conference today, where he addressed the report and gave the most idiotic excuse ever in an attempt to prove that the report was false. Apparently, Trump thinks Americans will excuse him from all of the allegations of what went on in that Russian hotel room because apparently, he’s a “germaphobe.” Oh my God.
During the press conference, Trump sidestepped directly answering questions about the sex tape by telling reporters:
“Does anyone really believe that story? I’m also very much of a germophobe, by the way, believe me.”
Here’s that moment, which is yet another humiliating blow for America:

Trump also tried to defend himself by saying he is “very careful” whenever he travels to another country and warns anyone who accompanies him that their hotel rooms might have cameras in them. Trump said:
“When I leave our country, I’m a very high-profile person, would you say? I am extremely careful. I’m surrounded by bodyguards. I’m surrounded by people. And I always tell them anywhere, but I always tell them, if I’m leaving this country, be very careful, because in your hotel rooms and no matter where you go, you’re going to probably have cameras.”
Considering how much Trump has lied through his teeth during his presidential campaign and transition, no one should believe what he’s saying here. Whether or not the blackmail story involving Trump and Russia is true, Trump has proven over and over again that he can’t be trusted and we must look to the experts to confirm things. The saddest thing of all is Trump making a mockery of America with his moronic comments. This is no way to handle a possible scandal as the future President of the United States.
