  • Trump’s New America: Latino Child Bullied In School By Pro-Trump White Kid (TWEET)

    Politics, Racism

On Tuesday, America entered what is sure to be a hellish four-year path and chose Celebrity Bully as it’s next Commander-in-Chief.

In many ways, we told the world exactly who we are and what we value as Americans. And here is a hint: it’s not “liberty and justice for all.”

Therefore, it’s not surprising to hear stories about how our children are now taking cues from the decision we made as a nation.

In one case, activist Shaun King shares an account from someone he knows whose sister suffered horrendous bullying at school following the election. Here’s a screengrab of the text message he shared via Twitter.

Toward the end of her concession speech, Hillary Clinton described this election as “consequential.”

The subtle note of recrimination and “I told you so” was not lost on the American public, nor do most sane Americans disagree with it.

So now, as of November 9, 2016, Donald Trump will become the 45th President of the United States Of America.

I'm originally from Louisiana, just outside of New Orleans; now living North Texas. I'm a reformed "South Park Conservative" who has grown passionate about progressive issues like social justice, education, criminal justice reform, gun control, ending the war on drugs, and economic inequality. I believe America's a stronger nation when we come together as one to find a solution and humble ourselves enough to consider other points of view from our neighbors around the world. I don't believe in American exceptionalism, but I do believe America can only be an exceptional place as long as we can be brutally honest about its strengths and weaknesses.
