Watch President Obama Read Mean Tweets On Jimmy Kimmel; His Reaction Is PRICELESS (VIDEO)

Media, News, Politics

One of the best parts of Jimmy Kimmel Live is when he invites celebrities to read mean tweets about themselves. It takes a kind of humility most of us probably don’t have. One “celebrity” who gets a lot of mean tweets is President Obama and after eight years in the White House and several more in the public eye, he’s still laughing, even at the most ridiculous of mean tweets.

The President appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night. For the second time, Obama read mean tweets about himself for the camera. The result, as usual, was hilarious and reminded us of how much we’ll miss him once he’s out of the White House.

The first tweet called Obama “the Nickelback of Presidents,” which of course, referred to the widely mocked rock band.

The next said he “couldn’t negotiate getting a Whopper without pickles.”

Another said, “Barack Obama dances like his jeans look,” which was an obvious dig at his “dad jeans” that he wore years ago.

One of my favorites was “my mom bought new conditioner and it sucks it isn’t even conditioning my hair I blame Obama.”

Another tweet asked him: “Bro, do you even lift?”

“Well, I lifted the ban on Cuban cigars, that’s worth something,” the President answered, referring to the lifting of the U.S./Cuban trade embargo.

“Barack Obama is the ‘Sharknado’ of presidents — loud, stupid and overhyped, #sharknado4” another said.

He did read one from Donald Trump, which read, “President Obama will go down as perhaps the worst president in the history of the United States!”

To which Obama responded, “at least I’ll go down as a President.” Drop. Mic. Actually, drop phone, but same thing.

Here’s the video:

Later on the show, Obama did take a dig at Donald Trump, saying, “I don’t tweet at 3 a.m. about people who insult me.” It’s a good thing, because after these mean tweets, he’d be losing quite a bit of sleep. On a more serious note, though, can you imagine Donald Trump having enough of a sense of humor about himself to even participate in Kimmel’s signature sketch? Yeah, me neither.
