In the midst of their first debate at Hofstra University, Clinton said her opponent “thinks that climate change is a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese.” Trump interrupted, (no surprise there) denying the accusation. The self-proclaimed billionaire claimed that he never said global warming was invented by China. Trump may not recall his earlier tweet in 2012, so here’s a reminder.
The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.

Since then, Trump repeatedly uses the word “hoax” to describe global warming in Twitter and in his campaign trail. For example, in December 2015 Trump said in South Carolina:
“Obama’s talking about all of this with the global warming and … a lot of it’s a hoax. It’s a hoax. I mean, it’s a money-making industry, okay? It’s a hoax, a lot of it.”
And yet, Trump believes that he is the popular candidate to lead our nation. According to the hilarious tweets below, I don’t think the American public agrees.
@realdonaldtrump you have now officially become the dumbest man on the planet

Let’s face it, Donald Trump lives in his own world, yet he can’t even keep up with his own lies. If we had a $1 for every time Trump has said “trust me” or “believe me,” we would all be billionaires by now. Watch the presidential debate unfold, below:
