  • Trump’s Response To Death Of NBA Star’s Cousin Is As Vile As You’d Imagine (TWEET)

    Gun Culture, News, Politics, Racism

Overnight, the city of Chicago was rocked with the news that the cousin of NBA star Dwyane Wade was gunned down while pushing a baby stroller. While the city and the family are in mourning for the mother of four, the GOP frontrunner, Donald Trump tweeted and it was as disgusting and as political as you might imagine.

If you notice, Trump didn’t even get the spelling of Wade’s name right.

The reaction on Twitter was swift and not pretty for Trump:

Donald Trump is an oligarch. Donald Trump is racist (or at least he runs a racist campaign). Donald Trump is xenophobic. Donald Trump is sexist, but perhaps the most frightening thing about Donald Trump is that he simply doesn’t give a crap about anyone or anything, which was absolutely apparent in Saturday’s tweet.

In 2004, Larry King on CNN interviewed Trump and when asked how he handles stress, he responded that literally nothing matters.

I try and tell myself it doesn’t matter. Nothing matters. If you tell yourself it doesn’t matter, like you do shows, you do this, you do that and then you have earthquakes in India where 400,000 people get killed. Honestly, it doesn’t matter. That’s how I handle stress.

Yes, there is an epidemic of violence on the Southside of Chicago, which Trump tries to blame on Democrats, but he doesn’t care enough to address the problem. Just this week, Trump claimed that he spoke to Chicago police and came to the conclusion that the violence in Chicago can be solved within a week through “tough police tactics.” According to the police, that conversation never happened and Trump is completely wrong. Chicago’s murder rate has very complex causes but its roots can be traced to the failed drug war, which Trump supports.

Saturday’s tweet, if anything, shows that Trump is simply a vulture. As he has done with nearly every tragedy to hit the world since the campaign began, Trump shows zero compassion, but he thinks that if people are scared enough, they will vote for him. Of course, for sane people, there is nothing more frightening than the thought of “carefree” Donald Trump as President.
