It’s gotten to the point where nothing Donald Trump says or does can be considered shocking or surprising. He’s been racist and his numbers rise. He’s badmouthed our military and his numbers rise. He’s spoken ill of Gold Star families and people seem to agree. He wants to unconstitutionally ban an entire religion and people cheer. He has become this braggadocios behemoth all unto his own, and people are eating it up with a spoon. Which actually says far more about many of the folks who live in this country than it does about Trump himself.
So, while speaking to his crowd of supporters on Monday in Pennsylvania, Trump said, in broken English:
“When Bernie Sanders’ people all walked out. They had this mass exit. Nobody showed it, and then when they showed Bernie very angry. They were talking about Bernie, cause he made a bad deal. he should have not made a bad deal.
He would’ve gone down as done something really important. Once he made that deal, and believe me he has buyer’s remorse. This guy has buyer’s remorse. he looked at that and he was so angry when they were talking about him, and his people were angry at him and they should be. If he would’ve just not done anything, just gone home, go to sleep, relax. He would have been a hero.”
Okay, first of all, what the hell is all that? “Bad deal”? “Buyer’s remorse”? “Go to sleep, relax”? Does he think before he speaks? And people actually listen to this schtick day in and day out? How stupid are people these days? Sorry, not to name-call, but all Trump does is say random words followed by “believe me,” and these idiots actually seem to believe him.
Oh, but it gets worse. He then added:
“But he made a deal with the devil. She’s the devil. He made a deal with the devil. It’s true.”
Which made his crowd of lemmings go wild, and of course he said it three times, just as Joseph Goebbels taught:
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”
He literally called Hillary Clinton “the devil,” clearly following up on Ben Carson’s “Lucifer” remarks from the Republican National Convention.
There seems to be absolutely nothing he won’t say or do, and that should terrify us all to our core.
