  • Trump Excited Mike Pence Signed Discrimination Into Law In Indiana (TWEET)

    News

We’ve known for some time now how much Donald Trump likes to be discriminatory towards others. He wants to build a wall – a great, big, huge wall on the border of Mexico, because according to Trump, Mexicans are rapists and murderers. He wants to ban 1/3 of the world’s population from entering the United States. He seems to think all Muslims are terrorists and don’t have a place within our nation, a nation that has, in fact, religious freedom for all religions. He’s also insinuated the the Black Lives Matter movement is divisive and racist, when all people are asking for is to be treated equally as human beings.

So now, with Trump’s choice of Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, a man who signed one of the most severely anti-LGBT pieces of legislation into law, he’s rounded out his campaign of hate with a man who hates the one minority group Trump had really yet to completely marginalize.

In fact, Trump is excited about it. He wrote enthusiastically on Twitter:

“Look forward to introducing Governor Mike Pence (who has done a spectacular job in the great State of Indiana). My first choice from start!”

Let’s take a look at what that really means, and what Trump is fully embracing with his selection of Mike Pence for his VP pick.

First of all, after Pence put his version of his religion before his duties as a public servant, Indiana took a $60 million dollar hit. His hate and open discrimination of the LGBT community cost the state – big time. Which is exactly what would happen with Trump and his discriminatory suggestions for what he thinks is “policy,” but is actually only hyperbolic rhetoric.

Secondly, the country is moving in the direction of more and more equality, not less. Trump has clearly chosen a person standing on the wrong side of history, and his lack of ability to notice this isn’t only stupid, but terrifying.

It’s time to stand up against all forms of hatred where they stand and make sure a Trump/Pence administration never, ever happens.
