  • Pro-Life Extremist Who Called For Execution Of Abortion Providers Endorses Trump (VIDEO)

    Poverty, Reproductive Rights

On Wednesday, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump met with Operation Rescue’s Troy Newman to accept his endorsement. Newman’s a ‘pro-life’ advocate who called for the execution of abortion providers.

Newman previously endorsed Texas Senator Ted Cruz, forming what was known as “Pro-lifers for Cruz.” But the advocate is best known for his manifesto titled, “Their Blood Cries Out.”

    In the manifesto Newman wrote:

“When moms, dads, abortionists are added together, well over 100,000,000 people bear personal bloodguilt for at least one abortion. The doctrine of community bloodguilt found in Scripture further implicates the entire nation. The perpetrators are far too numerous and the bloodguilt has spread too far. We deserve God’s judgment.

In addition to our personal guilt in abortion, the United States government has abrogated its responsibility to properly deal with the blood-guilty. This responsibility rightly involves executing convicted murderers, including abortionists, for their crimes in order to expunge bloodguilt from the land and people. Instead, the act of abortion has been elevated to a ‘God-given right’ and the abortionists canonized as saints. Consequently, the entire nation has the blood-red stain of the lives of the innocent upon its head.”

Newman further justifies his rationale by arguing that God called for the execution of murderers in the Bible. He goes even further, suggesting that the mothers, and maybe even the birth fathers, should also be executed. Newman wrote:

“Why, then, do we consider any differently the women who seek to hire killers to murder their pre-born children? Why the hesitancy to say that not only the mothers, but also the fathers who willfully abort their babies, are guilty of murder? Why is there such outrage expressed at the notion that those who know of the crime but do not intervene, like most of the churches in America, share a portion of the guilt?

Who holds the fathers, the mothers, the neighbors, the pastors, and the bystanders guilty? Who would dare?

    God can! God does!”

When Newman was working with the Cruz campaign, the People For The American Way, the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws, and Planned Parenthood sent them an open letter urging Cruz to fire Newman:

“Newman, the president of Operation Rescue, has written that the U.S. government has a responsibility to execute abortion providers. He has said that a woman who has sought an abortion should be considered a ‘murderer‘ and a ‘contract killer.’ Newman has claimed that a man who killed an abortion provider should have been allowed to argue that the killing was ‘justifiable defensive action.’ Newman and his staff have harassed individual women’s clinic workers at their homes, at restaurants and coffee shops, and throughout their communities in an attempt to make them quit their jobs. Newman’s closest associate at Operation Rescue, Cheryl Sullenger, has spent time in federal prison for conspiracy to bomb an abortion clinic.”

Newman’s statements and history of harassing abortion providers earned him a ban by the Australian government. Newman defied the ban and flew to Australia, only to be deported back to the U.S.

Newman also served as a board member for the Center for Medical Progress (CMP). CMP is the same group that produced the doctored “baby parts” video in which they carefully edited a conversation with Planned Parenthood officials to give the appearance that the organization sold aborted fetus parts.

However, it seems that Newman and Trump are well matched.

In March, Trump suggested that women who have abortions should face “some form of punishment.”

Trump’s endorsement solicited a strong reaction from PFAW Executive Vice President Marge Baker, who said in a statement:

“Even for someone as extreme and dangerous as Donald Trump, meeting with someone with Troy Newman’s record is shocking. Just as Donald Trump has called for women to face punishment if they have an abortion, Newman has called women who have an abortion ‘contract killers’ and ‘murderers.’ And his record doesn’t stop there: Newman has actively called for government to execute abortion providers. That kind of rhetoric, even in this heated political environment, should be completely unacceptable.

No one who aspires to the White House should go anywhere near someone like Troy Newman. Trump’s utter disrespect for women and disregard for their rights should deeply concern us all.”

Trump’s campaign continues to sink to new lows as the Republican nominee faces mounting problems regarding his fiscal incompetence and general ignorance of everything related to just about anything.

The saddest part is that Trump doesn’t really care about abortion one way or the other. He’s a proud populist who would gladly drop Newman at the drop of the hat if he thought it would help his poll numbers. As president, Trump would be a willing puppet for whomever he felt would garner him popularity with the people he believes will keep him in power.

While that’s not exactly a new definition of a politician, Trump’s incompetence, and populist mindset is guaranteed to elevate outside manipulation of the presidency to new heights.
