Have you ever had that moment when you’re arguing with someone who is remarkably dimwitted and then they tell you how stupid you are? Well, that just happened to President Obama.
Yes, that President Obama. A man who could be considered the smartest man in any room. A man who plays chess with his strategic moves, and you don’t realize how genius he was until maybe even years later. That President Obama.
And who called him stupid? Sarah Palin — the woman who could be considered the most dimwitted person on the planet. That Sarah Palin.
Oh, but she thinks she has a point to make.
Taking to her medium of choice — Facebook — she get’s vehemently angry with our Commander-in-Chief (Sarah, if you’re reading, that means “really, really angry”).
Why is she angry? Oh, well, because after the worst shooting on our nation’s soil at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida, President Obama had the audacity to want to make it so the wrong people don’t get guns. Wild, I know.
Palin even, ALL-CAPS, calls him “a special kind of stupid.”
Read it all here:
“OBAMA IS A SPECIAL KIND OF STUPID
Enough is enough, Mr. President. There’s no “due respect” due you after pulling this stunt.
Exploiting a sick, evil, ideological-driven attack on Americans to further your twisted anti-Second Amendment mission is disgusting. Today you’re demanding an “explanation” from law abiding gun owners, but not demanding the same from followers of Islam, the religion behind this terror?
If the demented Orlando terrorist doesn’t represent all Islamic followers, then why do you insinuate he represents all gun owners?
And why, after any shooting, do you always want to take away firearms from the innocent people who didn’t do it?
Forget your asinine gun control, do your job and engage in Islamic terrorist control.
Yes, it’s a special kind of stupid to demand we explain ourselves. But if you really want them, get ready for our explanations.
– Sarah Palin”
She then includes a picture that clearly she’s thinks is clever, but is really just as moronic as she is:
You know what’s sick and evil? Caring more about guns than people who are killed by gun violence.
NO ONE is coming to take anyone’s guns. Thinking Obama is talking about you means either one of two things; you should be looked at more critically when purchasing a gun, OR you don’t have the common sense to realize he’s not talking about you. (“MAAAHHH GUNNNNZZZ”)
What the president and those who support his ideas want to do is prevent the wrong people from getting guns. They want to prevent people on the FBI watch list from getting guns. They want to close background check loopholes. In a perfect world we’d limit the number of purchases of both guns and ammunition, because guess what, as civilians who are not part of our national militia, better known as the Armed Services, we don’t need them. Oh, and if you feel your “Second Amendment rights” give you the freedom to fight back against the government, guess what? You’d be tried for treason, just as George Washington had insurrectionists tried for treason after the Whiskey Rebellion.
Maybe put the selfish desire of being a vigilante cowboy aside and realize that people are dying, and no one, absolutely no one outside of the battle field needs an AR-15. You may want one, but you do not need one. Please recognize the selfish difference. The AR-15 has been the weapon of choice in almost all of these mass shootings because of it’s ease of use, and it needs to be restricted from civilian purchase. End of story. If you feel the need to fire one, rent one at a monitored shooting range, or sign up for the military.
As far as the shooter being Muslim? Well, guess what, that same hate is perpetuated by far right-wing “Christian” ideologues as well, some that have even called for the death of those in the LGBT community. The shooter was an American citizen, born on American soil, with access to unlimited firearms. So, not only have our own homophobic laws and mentalities stoked the aggression that happened at the nightclub, but our lax gun laws armed the shooter to the teeth.
So, Sarah Palin, if you feel the need to call anyone stupid, might I suggest you find the nearest mirror. There’s a reason comedians find you an easy mark for their criticism.
